It’s also possible that you need to update the firmware on your interface (if it’s still currently supported) and understand that if you have any older tech that is no longer getting firmware updates and causing issues on your new Mac, then that can very well be the problem. You’ll also want to check the websites for your products for known compatibility issues as they will usually post something about it if there are any. Not sure if this has anything to do with it, but it’s worth mentioning. This ensures that no unnecessary files stored in the root, system or user libraries from old apps that were deleted or are obsolete don’t get moved onto my new Mac and cause weird issues.

Even though it’s convenient, I never do a full Time Machine restore. I have an M1 Max and Logic (stock plugins, no third party) with an Apogee Duet and either a Rode or Blue mic and have no issues at all. I'm not sure what to do from here other than wait for a new System Update or a new Logic update to somehow fix the issue.Īny thoughts on what might be the problem? (Both are running on Monterey 12.1 and Logic 10.7.2) I've only been testing things out over MP3 instrumentals so the sessions aren't big at all. The only thing that is different is that under Audio in Preferences the section that says "Requires Constant Ram Allocation Of" is 101.3 MB while on my 2017 Macbook it is 60.8 MB. What's extremely confusing is that in Preferences the "resulting latency" is actually lower on my new MacBook Pro so it should be working even better. The interface connects to the Macbook with a USB-C cable directly from the M-track interface. I am using a Shure SM7B with a DBX 286s external compressor and an M-track audio interface. The thing that is puzzling me is that my 2017 MacBook Pro with less memory and storage works completely fine. My new M1 Max MacBook Pro is having latency issues and popping sounds when I record in Logic Pro X. Using 32-bit and other plugins with Logic X (and Logic 9)Īligning regions: One track snaps to -25, the other snaps to -24.9? Educational content like tutorials is exempt from this rule.
